Smoke Out XI » The Long Road » Long Road Tuesday

Tuesday June 22… start in Ozark, AR and ride 255 miles to Memphis, TN (5 hours).
Get off I 40 at exit # 1. You will be on Front Street. The Bureau of Tourism will be on the right and Comfort Inn and Sleep Inn are on the left.
We are doing a Pub Crawl on Beale Street. Custom Chrome has a great night planned for all. Beale Street is known for great food, great music and great bars. The HORSE staff’s secret research is complete. We are hitting the best four bars in Memphis. Hit the first three in any order, starting at 7:00 pm. We will put a stamp next to the name of the bar (on your map) as the Long Road riders come by so look for the Horse banner. You can visit with at least one member of the HORSE staff at each stop. This is a great time to tell Edge about your ideas for future Smoke Outs and the Long Road. You will also collect free raffle tickets at each stop and Custom Chrome will have some stuff to raffle off at the last stop of the evening. Long Road riders with a wristband will not have any cover charges (there may be a small cover at BB King’s for everyone else).

And then gather up by 9 pm at Alfred’s.
Captain Jack will be at Club Alfred’s to sign you in for this stop on the Long Road.
The “Kings of Hell” will be playing from 8 pm to 10 pm at Club Alfred’s.
After 10 pm we do not have any formal plans on Beale Street, just an informal invasion in whatever groups y’all feel inclined to hang with for the evening.
My suggestion is to grab a room at an inexpensive downtown hotel before the pub-crawl. Such as:
Comfort Inn (Downtown Memphis) 100 N. Front Street ph # (901) 526-0583
Sleep Inn (Downtown Memphis) 40 N. Front Street ph # (901) 522-9700
When these sell out get on the Internet and look around because there are all kinds of hotels right there.
From the hotel I would walk over to Beale Street and leave the bike parked at the hotel.
There are several places to camp but this is one stop that I highly recommend getting a hotel. Six miles west of Memphis on the Arkansas side of the Mississippi is:
Tom Sawyer’s Mississippi River RV Park, 1286 8th St., West Memphis, AR
(870) 735-9770
